Iran's short film 'Forouzan' awarded at Russian gala

Iran's short 'Forouzan' wins the special jury award for Best Cinematography at the International Charity Film Festival “Radiant Angel” in Russia.

Iran's short film 'Forouzan' has grabbed the special jury award for Best Cinematography at the 15th International Charity Film Festival “Radiant Angel” in Russia.

The award was given to Sadeq Soori, the cinematographer of 'Forouzan'.

Soori had received an award for Best Cinematography for the same short film at the National Short Film Festival Mowj (Wave), which was held in Iran's Persian Gulf island of Kish.

‘Forouzan’, directed by Mirabbas Khosravinejad, narrates the story of a young woman whose husband has recently passed away, and lives with her two young children in a village. She tries to protect her family against the night attacks of thieves.

Produced by Iranian Youth Cinema Society, the short was filmed in the villages which lie on the outskirts of the Iranian city of Khorramabad.

The 15th edition of the festival was held on November 1-7 in Russia's capital, Moscow.

The International Charity Film Festival aims to show films about kindness, love and justice, especially to children and teenagers.
